Delicious ways to
lower cholesterol
Acai Bowl
Serves: 2 | Preparation time: 10 minutes
1 pack frozen acai
1 frozen chopped banana
250 ml Australia’s Own Lowers Cholesterol
Fresh fruits, toasted muesli, seeds and nuts to decorate
Mix the frozen fruits and milk in a blender until smooth.
Transfer in a bowl and top up with sliced fruits, toasted muesli, nuts and seeds.
Serve cold.
Overnight Oat Porridge
Serves: 2 | Preparation time: 5 minutes + rest time
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup Australia’s Own Lowers Cholesterol
2 tsp honey or sweetener of your choice
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 drops of vanilla flavour
Topping: ½ cup mixed berries or other fresh seasonal fruit, handful of nuts
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to eat, top up with fresh or frozen mixed berries, or the fruit of your choice and some extra nuts if desired.
Pancakes
Serves: 4 (8 pancakes) | Preparation time: 30 minutes
250g oat flour or wholemeal flour
500ml Australia’s Own Lowers Cholesterol
4 eggs
Pinch of salt
¼ cup honey or maple syrup
2 drops vanilla flavour or ½ tsp cinnamon
Topping: yoghurt, fruits, silvered toasted almonds
Mix the wet ingredients (eggs, milk, honey, vanilla or cinnamon) and add the flour progressively. Mix vigorously.
Let the pancake mix sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Cook the pancakes in a hot pan and top with fresh yoghurt, fruits and almonds.
